If you are like me, we love to call Tennessee home. For nearly a decade and a half, our state has held a majority Republican legislature, and for its 10 year anniversary coming this year, our state has been a super majority state. The trail of conservatism has been walked for many decades in our beloved state, and now more than ever we must work to ensure our children grow and have the same opportunities as those before them.
When Tennesseans want to make a change, they do it the right way. As a business owner beside my husband, I have seen first hand what high taxes and overburdensome regulations can do to stifle business growth. It does not take a PhD to look around and see that we are preparing for tough times ahead. Tough times in which Republicans must carry us through.
The way we guarantee our lifestyle in Tennessee is to continue to recruit good conservative voters and supporters of our party’s ideals and values. In District 10, my pledge for you is I will be a strong ambassador between the Tennessee Republican Party and the District 10 community of Bledsoe, Hamilton, Marion, and Sequatchie Counties.
I will work to keep all local parties informed and updated with the happenings of the State Executive Committee in Nashville and be your voice to the needs of our Sequatchie Valley and lower Hamilton County, this includes bonification clarification with concerns on vouching, making sure any new bylaw change is shared with our county parties, and updating voter rolls to be most accurate.
As we have seen with issues out of Nashville, and most recently closer to home in Hamilton County, we must push the conversation of closed primaries within our Party. There are many examples from Republican parties around the country and we must discuss these and pick the best path forward for Tennessee. Nothing being more important than educating others about the importance of voting in primariies to keep our party strong and your voice herd.
